SK bioscience welcomed employees’ families to its new Songdo headquarters for a special Family Day event in celebration of Family Month.
The company announced that it hosted “SK Doctor’s Housewarming Party” on May 30 at its headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, with approximately 450 employees and family members in attendance. The event was designed to help families better understand and connect with the company by experiencing the workplace firsthand, while also fostering employees’ sense of belonging and pride.
The gathering held particular significance as it marked the first time SK bioscience invited employees’ families to its headquarters and research facilities following the relocation to Songdo earlier this year. The new headquarters serves as an integrated hub connecting R&D, process development, business development, and marketing functions, playing a key role in advancing the company’s global vaccine and biotechnology business.
Organized under the theme of a “housewarming party” for the new headquarters, the event adopted an open-house format, allowing visitors to freely explore and enjoy the facility. Families participated in guided tours of office spaces and research laboratories, as well as a variety of interactive activities including family photo sessions, an AI career exploration photo zone, and a “Letters of Love” mailbox where visitors could leave messages for one another.
To reflect the company’s identity as a vaccine and biotechnology leader, customized science experience programs such as the “Bio Laboratory” and “Junior Laboratory” were also offered. These activities were designed to help children better understand their parents’ work and the biotechnology industry in an engaging and accessible way.
Additional family-friendly spaces were set up throughout the headquarters, including game zones, coloring areas, food trucks, and cafes. Exhibits showcasing the company’s history, key products, and vaccine development process were also displayed across the site, providing families with opportunities to learn more about SK bioscience’s business and vision.
“Songdo headquarters is a space that embodies our future growth strategy,” said Ki-Chae Ahn, Head of Corporate Culture at SK bioscience. “We hope this event provided a meaningful opportunity for employees’ families to better understand and connect with the company’s work and vision. We will continue to expand corporate culture programs that enable employees and their families to share in the company’s growth and values together.”
