ESG Strategy Drives Sustainable Growth

Climate Action, Global Health, and Responsible Governance Deliver Meaningful Progress

Consistent ESG Performance Earns Continued Global Recognition

SK bioscience announced today the publication of its 2026 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, outlining the company´s sustainable growth strategy and ESG performance over the past year.

The report reflects SK bioscience´s continued efforts to align with increasingly rigorous global ESG disclosure standards by transparently presenting its sustainability strategy and measurable achievements across key areas, including climate action, global public health, and board-led responsible governance.

In the Environmental section, SK bioscience strengthened the credibility of its environmental data by enhancing its greenhouse gas accounting methodology. In addition to direct emissions from operations (Scope 1 and 2), the company expanded and refined the calculation of indirect emissions across its value chain (Scope 3), including raw material procurement, logistics, and distribution, with the results verified by an independent third party. The report also adopts the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework to disclose the company´s impacts on nature and biodiversity, as well as its mitigation strategies, reinforcing its preparedness for evolving climate- and nature-related disclosure requirements.

The Social section highlights SK bioscience´s efforts to improve global access to vaccines, reflecting the company´s mission to advance public health. Beyond supplying vaccines, the company is expanding technology transfer initiatives that help build sustainable local manufacturing capabilities in underserved regions. A representative example is its collaboration with Colombia´s state-owned pharmaceutical company, VECOL, to transfer technology for its proprietary varicella vaccine, SKYVaricella, and establish local manufacturing capacity. SK bioscience is also broadening global vaccine supply through procurement agreements with international organizations and other global partners, contributing to a more resilient public health supply chain.

Internally, SK bioscience continued to strengthen employee well-being following the relocation to its headquarters in Songdo earlier this year. The company enhanced workplace facilities and employee benefits while promoting an inclusive organizational culture through family engagement programs and other initiatives. The report also provides updates on the implementation of improvement measures identified through the company´s human rights impact assessments, which have been conducted since 2023, together with the results of their effectiveness evaluations.

In the Governance section, SK bioscience further advanced board-led responsible management by establishing an integrated enterprise risk management framework covering both financial and non-financial risks. The company also expanded the scope of its ESG management by incorporating annual ESG data from its German CDMO subsidiary, IDT Biologika, providing a more comprehensive view of sustainability performance across its global operations.

These ongoing efforts have been recognized by leading ESG assessment organizations. SK bioscience received an ´A´ rating from MSCI ESG Ratings for the third consecutive year and achieved an integrated ´A´ rating from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) for the fourth consecutive year, reaffirming the company´s strong ESG capabilities and commitment to sustainable management.

Jaeyoung Choi, Head of Corporate Planning Department, said "This ESG Report reflects our tangible progress toward sustainable growth while advancing global public health. We will continue to expand global vaccine accessibility while further strengthening our ESG capabilities across all areas to create lasting value for both society and our stakeholders."
